The CMEA Central Section
This page is the official headquarters of the Central Section of the California Music Educators Association (CMEA). CMEA is the state chapter of the National Association for Music Education (MENC). Together these organizations promote music education, serve as an invaluable source for music educators statewide and nationwide, and provide for musical activities and opportunities for all children to experience as musicians.
This website is designed to help provide information about music education and music educators in the California counties of Kern, Kings, Tulare, Fresno, and Madera. The Central Section of CMEA serves the communities of Bakersfield, Hanford, Lemoore, Tulare, Visalia, Porterville, Fresno, Madera, and all other cities and communities in the these counties. This website will also direct you to more detailed information regarding music education in the various counties, as smaller units of CMEA-Central Section also have websites devoted to this purpose for their own counties.
